Oscar winner, Penelope Cruz, 38, and her younger sister Monica Cruz, 35, have teamed up to design a new diffusion collection for luxury lingerie company Agent Provocateur.
The line will be called L’Agent and is intended to retail at a more affordable price point than is typical of the London-based brand, averaging around $64 per item, according to the New York Daily News. The line is scheduled to launch for the Autumn/Winter 2013 season in department stores globally. The line will not, however, be found in Agent Provocateur’s stand alone stores where items run upwards of $300 a piece, reports Time. This is not the first time Monica and Penelope have collaborated, they previously worked together on collections for Mango and Samantha Thavasa.
At this point, Agent Provocateur has not released any images of the collection, so it is unclear how prominently either Cruz will be featured in the campaign.
Penelope Cruz is in talks to star in a film titled “Gucci” about the Italian family behind the legendary clothing brand, TheWrap said.
Directed by Jordan Scott, daughter of Ridley Scott, the film tells the story of the late Maurizio Gucci, grandson of the Gucci founder, as he becomes heir to the family empire.
Gucci was gunned down in 1995. His ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani, was jailed for the killing in 1999. The project was first announced in 2006 with Ridley Scott set to direct from a script by Andrea Berloff. A number of other writers have since been involved in the project, which is set up at Scott Free. In 2009, Angelina Jolie was approached to play Reggiani, who was jailed for 29 years for allegedly ordering the killing of her ex-husband, when Ridley Scott was still attached to direct “Gucci.”
Reports of the film’s resurfacing came as Gucci makes a push to re-establish the brand as synonymous with Hollywood glamour, which it has been struggling to do since Tom Ford left the house in 2004. The company has become increasingly involved in the film world. Gucci has given more than $2 million to Martin Scorsese to help him restore old films, including Federico Fellini’s “La Dolce Vita” and Sergio Leone’s “Once Upon a Time in America.”
The label also funds film scholarships and supports a weekly film series at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Uploaded a new shoot. Love the colors. But I think they could express Penélope’s sensuality much better than with anonymous shoots.
Penélope is busy filming her last movie The Counselor. We’ve got some pics from it. Gotta be said she’s stunning in red. Defiantly her color.
Penelope Cruz does not yet know if she will be reprising her role as Angelica in the next ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movie.
Penelope Cruz ”hasn’t heard” if she is going to be in the next ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movie.
The 38-year-old actress played the role of Angelica Teach in the last instalment of the franchise ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ – alongside Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow – and while it is expected she may reprise her part, no one has confirmed anything to her.
She said: ”Have I heard anything? No, I haven’t. I haven’t read a script. I haven’t heard anything. With Johnny and the director Rob Marshall, it’s like anything. But I don’t mean movies. I consider them my friends. And I really love them and respect them.”
Penelope admits she had a great time making the last film because she was pregnant during shooting and was happy to have the support of the cast and crew.
She told Collider.com: ”I loved making that movie. Because, Johnny is an incredible human being. He’s a very good friend, and he’s always been so good to me.
”And you know, that was a very special time for me because I was pregnant through the whole movie and the way Johnny and Rob were with me, the way they protected me, the way they took care of me, I will never forget in my life.”
I’ve updated with over 100 HQs from Penélope’s appereance to the 60th San Sebastian Film Festival to promote Twice Born. She looked stunning and I adore the photocall pictures with Javier.
One 2012 shoot for Self Assignment added. Sometimes I think they’re incapable of giving value to Penelope’s beauty with things too much easy and passive.
